EyeSpy
The story world of EYESPY is based on the existing narrative legacy of espionage and spies. We wanted to create an interactive street game where you get to become a secret agent!
#EYESPY has become an ongoing series of immersive multi locational and multiplatform espionage experiences. To date there have been three different games each with a unique twist and playable regardless of if you have played the others.
Eye Spy 1&2
An email enters a participants’ inbox. They have been activated as an undercover agent of the Spectrum Agency. Three pieces of information are given: date, time, location and an operation code word. Their mission is of the utmost secrecy and is vital to the UK’s national security.
We created a recruitment process for ‘potential’ spies through a series of training days that allowed people to interact with the world before committing to a ticketed event, including a twitter detection game.
Participants could also engage with the first part of the story through an interactive digital comic published through our app called Bearcub.
The live game event comprised performers, a mobile app and twelve indoor and outdoor locations. The audience were split into small groups and were pitted against each other to discover the hidden mystery.
During the game participants navigated the city using a mobile app which through series of codes, dead drops and hidden clues gave them the game locations. All the while keeping their identities and activities undercover.
Eye Spy Chimera
Part Street Game & Part Escape Room.
We wanted to combine these two popular forms to create a street game that ended in an escape room and on top of that, we had two teams of spies working against the clock to protect the city from an unknown threat.
Spies were once again activated via email and sent a location, date and time to meet. Our teams of spies travelled from location to location using their unique skills to unlock the next location and discover where to go next. Collecting a multi padlocked briefcase and ending in a room that could give them the codes to unlock it but only if they could work it out in time!
