A companion created for your time outdoors.
Taking inspiration from the Welsh myth, this audio experience allows you to hear the thoughts and secrets of the three great rivers in Wales.

The Three Sisters of Plynlimon was a tourism project led by Powys County Council, Mid Wales My Way.  Linking both the Visit Wales thematic Year of the Sea (2018) and Discovery (2019), the project aimed to give a sense of place and explore the Welsh myth.

We were asked to bring the Welsh myth to life and create mini interventions that would connect people’s hearts and minds with the beautiful landscapes of Mid Wales.

I have a fire in my belly that burns unquenchable and i can guide you today. Oh dear traveller, the stories I have to share...
— Severn

Working with yello brick Associate writer Sara Lewis and composer Dan Lawrence, we designed and created an audio experience that provided a companion for people’s time outdoors and offered a brief escape from the everyday. Told from the perspective of the three rivers, Severn, Ystwyth and Wye, you are invited to see the landscape of Mid Wales with new eyes. Each sister shares their experiences, their secrets and the stories that they have overheard. The listener is encouraged to lose themselves in their surroundings and discover the magic that is all around them.

Each narrative encounter is available in Welsh and English and are split into short chapters so that the listener is in control of how long the experience lasts depending on how much time they have.

Run with me, as i flow, ever being, ever freeing. River of renewal, seeker of answers to life’s great questions
— Wye
